About the game:
ATTENTION! The current version of the game is a short atmospheric horror experience of 15 - 45 minutes. I am currently working on a new, expanded version of the game. By purchasing the game now, you will support the release of the new version. Release date October 29, 2026. Also, 2 free expansions will be released, which will give you a completely new survival horror experience. Thank you very much for your support, it is very important to me as a solo developer.
Remember the feeling when you first touched your parents' videotape, the 4:3 image format, the noise on the screen, and something very interesting waiting ahead.
But this is a different story: a creepy experiment leads an unlucky soldier into the Backrooms, where he will have to go through several levels, encounter dangerous creatures, and try to return back.
Explore, hide, listen to every suspicious sound, especially footsteps.... The most important thing is to survive.
KARJALA is an indie horror game set in the world of the Karelian anomaly. The game is based on the story “Karelian Anomaly” by Denis Gromvel. All of this is seasoned with the atmosphere of Karelian forests and Soviet aesthetics.
In KARJALA, you will immerse yourself in a tense and frightening atmosphere, where the focus is on exploration, puzzle solving, and survival. This game will keep you on edge from beginning to end as you try to find a way out of this dark and supernatural place.
