About the game:
Regimental Chess was created from the desire to create a robust game that simulates the strategy and tactics of battle. Strategy is the art of positioning your formations. Tactics is the art of how they fight. First the creator of this game increased the number of pieces and the size of the battlefield. The quick realization is that chess evolved and hardened into an 8 by 8 board for a good reason. Two small armies meet in battle, where every position matters. Increase the size of the field or the armies, and all is lost.
