In a mysterious attack on your ship, many managed to escape. All survivors have unique abilities: the chef can slice through everything in his path, the defender can hold back enemies and cover his team, while the fan-favorite monster Acrid can spray poisonous slime! Try different playstyles by choosing any of the 15 characters.
Meet the drifter! She collects all sorts of junk from defeated enemies and creates items that grant temporary bonuses to her companions. And by using such an item herself, she will deal a devastating area attack. The drifter will be useful in any group of survivors. Supporting her team and dealing with monsters, she will prove that such a travel companion is worthwhile.
Looking for thrills? Choose up to 11 artifacts that will affect the game in different ways! Maybe you want to start a run with random equipment that changes with every use? Or perhaps you like imp invasions every 10 minutes? Combine different artifacts and discover new playstyles.
Fight your way to the surface, finding valuable cargo along the way. These items will let you move faster, deal more damage, or jump a little higher. Especially powerful items grant especially powerful bonuses. The Ukulele, for example, charges your attacks with electricity through its music. Love explosions? Find the Brilliant Behemoth, and all your attacks will turn into a powerful barrage of explosions. The beauty lies in the unpredictable combinations you create. Explosive chain lightning is only the beginning of your crazy masterpiece!
Petrichor V is inhabited by creatures from many different planets. When they faced extinction in their home worlds, some mysterious force brought them to Petrichor V. Soon this planet became home to the most dangerous monsters in the galaxy, and they are clearly not happy about intruders like you. Activate the ancient teleporters scattered across the planet and make your way through all 10 biomes. Survive and reach the ship you were forced to abandon.
Descend to the surface alone or with your team! Choose survivors who complement each other — or simply pick those with bigger guns (spoiler: the Loader). Up to 4 players can take part in co-op locally or online. Risk of Rain Returns offers an improved multiplayer mode: nothing will stop you from fighting the numerous monsters of Petrichor V.
