About the game:
The Forgotten City is a detective adventure game based on the popular (over 3 million downloads) mod that received an Australian Writers' Guild award.
You can resort to violence, but far from every issue can be resolved by force. Question the memorable inhabitants of the settlement, use the time loop wisely, and solve insurmountable moral dilemmas — only then will the secrets of the city be revealed to you. Your decisions have far-reaching consequences. The fate of the city is in your hands.
- Explore the open world of a carefully recreated ancient Roman city with historically accurate architecture, costumes and customs
- Experience a gripping nonlinear story with several possible endings
- Meet interesting characters and learn the story of each of them
- Overcome moral dilemmas whose consequences may cost you your life
- Create a character to your liking by choosing their gender, origin and backstory
- Solve mysteries using intelligence, charm, bribery, cunning, intimidation or skillful use of the time loop
Did you like the mod?
If you loved the mod, you will be thrilled with the full version of the game. We kept everything best from the original mod, rewrote the script, doubling its volume (it now has over 80,000 words), and added many new endings, surprises and unexpected plot twists. Walk the streets of a new city. Meet reimagined characters. Use updated gameplay mechanics to solve new puzzles. A symphonic soundtrack and professional voice acting also await you. This is a story we can't wait to tell, and you will be able to experience it again and again.
The Forgotten City was created by a team of three core developers over four years. We can only do what we love thanks to your support, and we are infinitely grateful to you for it.
