In This War of Mine, you play not as an elite soldier, but as a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city and suffering from a lack of water, medicine, and the constant threat of snipers and marauders. The game lets you look at war from a completely unfamiliar angle.
The pace of the game is set by the change of day and night. During the day, snipers in the streets do not let you leave the shelter, so you are left to sustain life in the shelter: craft, trade, and care for the survivors. But at night, you go with one of the townspeople through unique locations in search of useful items.
Listen to your conscience and make decisions on which people's lives depend. Try to protect everyone in your shelter, or make sacrifices for long-term survival. In war, there are no good or bad decisions, there is only survival. The sooner you understand this, the better for you.
