Beware, space travelers! Survival aboard the "Tin Can" is no trivial task, and can get pretty crazy. Without careful inspection of the systems around you, the onboard manual, and patience, only cold (or hot) space death awaits you.

• All systems inside your escape pod consist of many different components, from fuses to air filters. They are all interconnected and have their own important function.

Listen to your body!

"I've had blurry vision for some time now, and it's getting worse! I really need to find this leak before I pass out!"

• When all your systems fail, in the darkness only the sound of your heartbeat and shallow breathing will alert you to your imminent death. O², CO², atmospheric pressure and temperature are realistically simulated for maximum immersion.

Your life hangs by a thread... don't lose focus!

"These incomprehensible error codes again!? Where's the damn manual? This pod is a complete mess! Ah! Here it is!"

Strengths

• Manage pod systems down to every individual component.
• Numerous systems, each with its own unique function and serving to ensure your survival. Every system is interconnected, from the oxygen generator to emergency lighting.
• More than a dozen different components, each with its own function and causing different problems when damaged. For example: faulty buttons will not trigger properly when pressed, and faulty electrical connectors will not provide sufficient power.
• Organic failures due to the simulated nature of resources and components inside the game. You will have to figure out what is wrong and trace failures back to the source.
• Disassemble, swap, and repair everything inside the pod.
• Realistic management of vital resources such as oxygen, carbon dioxide, temperature and radiation. There are no arbitrary numbers here. The levels of these resources required for survival are based on real life!
• Onboard manual with detailed information about your escape pod.
• Real medical symptoms instead of health bars. For example, hypoxia (lack of oxygen) will make you breathe faster and harder, make your vision blurry and slow your movements until you fall unconscious.
• Space events will hit your pod and have different types of effects on its systems. From flying near the surface of a star, which will cause overheating, to asteroid fields that will pierce your hull, you need to anticipate and deal with situations as they arise to avoid imminent death.

Backstory:

As a random member of your colony's space program, you leave Mars aboard a large transport ship, only for its reactor to go critical in the middle of your journey toward new horizons. All your time spent in the simulator did not prepare you for such a terrible situation! Now, drifting in your escape pod, without any FTL capabilities, you realize that no easy way out was provided. Use your own ingenuity to fix the systems in the same way you would fix and assemble your own PC, swapping and repairing individual components. If you are lucky, you may finally be able to find safe shelter.
