You are Ilya, a new nature reserve caretaker who came to the wilderness for peace and income. But the picturesque landscapes hide a dark secret: local residents and reserve workers whisper about unexplained oddities in the taiga. The authorities explain all incidents as accidents, but very soon you will understand that peace in this place is only an illusion.
Start with the Prologue.
Before starting work, you will experience the final working day of your predecessor, Sergey Ivanovich Kalashnikov. Complete his usual, routine tasks. Through his experience, you will be able to see exactly how routine turns into something frightening.

Your work requires the utmost attention to detail and compliance with daily duties.

- Atmosphere and Details of 2006: Immerse yourself in the aesthetics of the Russian countryside of the early 2000s with primitive technology, nostalgia, and a suffocating feeling of isolation in the wilderness.
- Control Center (PC): Your old computer is the heart of your work. From it, you will monitor the perimeter and fill out reports daily.
- Patrolling in a UAZ: Drive around the vast location in an old but reliable UAZ. This is your main means of transportation in the wilderness.
- Isolation and Communication: Communicate with a colleague via an old radio. Radio communication is your only support line.
- Checking Camera Traps: Regularly check camera traps set up for wild animals. There may be something there that should not have been captured.
