About the game:
Important to know.
Zone 404 is my first game project.
A short story lasting about 50 minutes awaits you.
The game was not intended as a full-fledged scary horror game — rather as an atmospheric experiment and personal creative experience.
All locations were conceived and created by me from scratch. I have always enjoyed designing spaces and level design, and at some point I decided to turn it into a full-fledged game by adding a small plot, mechanics, and puzzles.
I hope this project can interest you and leave pleasant impressions.
Zone 404 — a single-player first-person shooter with horror and survival elements in the action genre, immersing you in the heart of a mysterious and strictly classified military infected zone.
An unknown outbreak has engulfed an isolated area designated in military documents as Zone 404. A squad of military doctors trained to work in conditions of a biological catastrophe was sent there to investigate and stop the threat.
The operation failed — the helicopter crashed. You are the only one who survived. In the heart of the dead sector, without communication, support, or the right to make a mistake, all you can do is move forward, through unknown and deadly dangerous territory.
The game features:
- Battles with hordes of infected and a tense survival atmosphere.
- Exploration of tunnels, factory buildings, and isolated military facilities.
- Searching for keys, codes, and notes that gradually reveal the mystery of the catastrophe.
- Checkpoints that allow you to return and continue your journey after death.
- Atmospheric sound design and visual effects that enhance the feeling of horror and loneliness.
Every step brings you closer to the answer: what happened in Zone 404 — an accident, a leak… or something far more sinister? Will you be able to reach the end… or will your name end up on the “not found” list?
