About the game:
FUNDAMENTA is a game tool, a kind of playground where you first build and then play, with no fixed goal.
The goal is not to compete with Minecraft or Blender, but to occupy a middle ground between them, accessible for the average user and useful enough for those who already have experience.
For gamers, it is an open sandbox. For artists and developers, it serves as a tool for block construction (level design) and allows exporting any creation as a 3D model in .obj format.
The controls are standard first-person, with full support for keyboard, mouse, and Xbox controller: walking, running, jumping, crouching, climbing, swimming, and diving. Building takes place in real time on a fixed grid, in Minecraft style, using cubes and simple geometric shapes. There are also special blocks with a custom mesh and their own behavior — they are shown in the selection menu highlighted with a red border.
The environment is not static: the day and night cycle includes procedurally generated sky and stars, torches and light blocks illuminate the surroundings in real time, and water has various effects: caustics, underwater fog, and physical floating of objects falling into it.
The program has two modes, switched with the F1 key on the keyboard or the “Back” button on the controller. Interaction is regular gameplay with gravity and collisions. Creation is free flight without obstacles, allowing you to work without fear that something will get in the way. In addition, at any time you can activate photo mode by pressing the F2 key on the keyboard or L3 on the controller, allowing you to capture your creations from the best angles.
Each creation is an independent file: you can have several files, switch between them at any time without losing progress, and delete those you no longer need. The pause menu combines video, audio, control settings, and a list of creations. The interface is available in Portuguese and English.
Since this is software, the current main focus is on construction tools and free exploration. Future versions are planned to add deeper interaction with the environment — damage, death, and game-specific elements — without compromising creative freedom.
