People who survived the meteorite fall learned to control an energy source known as “zinyoka.” Over the next forty years, a metropolis was erected inside the crater — the Structure. Its residents isolated themselves from the outside world, increasing their dependence on technology and creating a society resembling a mechanism.
Order and the functioning of the Structure are ensured by a strict vertical hierarchy of power. For greater efficiency, new machines and tools are put into service for people immediately after their creation. To optimize control over the growing level of anomalies among the city's residents, new specialists were needed. They are called Mind Scanners.
