About the game:
“A time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time [to kill somebody one more time...]”. Ecclesiastes 3:8.
Hooray! The Holy War has come to an end! Your oppressors have been defeated, the churches of the Old God have been destroyed, thousands of innocents have been killed! But there is bad news: the tyrant Heavenly Peter has escaped, and you have been tasked with finding the fugitive...
Your journey will take place against a detailed picturesque backdrop made from hundreds of different Renaissance paintings. You will have to steal a ship, feed a donkey, take part in a talent contest, help an inept street magician, dance, sing, play a (magic?) flute, poke someone else's face, hunt for treasure and have a chat with our almighty Lord... But will you find Heavenly Peter? And, if you do, how are you going to take revenge?
Features
• Pointing and clicking: a traditional point-and-click interface with a circular interaction menu and a simple inventory, from which you can drag all your acquired belongings.
• Renaissance art: a single world was created from paintings by Rembrandt, Botticelli, Michelangelo and many others — all with love and respect for the original works.
• Classical music: the soundtrack matches the style of the paintings — music by classical composers such as Vivaldi, Bach and George Frideric Handel will accompany you on this journey.
• Standalone story: The Procession to Calvary takes place in the world of Four Last Things, however completing that game is not required.
• The ability to kill: you will have a sword that will come in handy in a couple of situations, however it is strongly not recommended to use it on other people. You can ignore this advice and kill everyone left and right to skip puzzles that did not appeal to you. But keep in mind: this may come back to bite you...
• Absurdity: humor in the style of Monty Python's surreal anarchic comedy. Serious themes are raised with unprecedented frivolity, while butt jokes are presented extremely seriously. But do not doubt it, even if some jokes seem silly, the puzzles here are just right! (At least, they follow consistent internal logic.)
