From $15 to $500 per month: Meta started selling clickable links in Reels and posts

Meta introduced a range of paid Meta One for Business plans for companies and content creators. The subscription provides access to advanced analytics, an AI assistant for WhatsApp conversations and a long-awaited feature — clickable links in regular Instagram posts and Reels.

The cost depends on the set of tools and starts at $14.99 for the basic plan, reaching $499 per month for the highest-tier package.

Paid links in posts and Reels

The main new feature is the introduction of direct external links in Instagram posts. Previously, users could only be redirected to third-party websites through the link in the profile bio or stickers in Stories, while links in post captions remained unclickable.

Now links can be attached directly to posts and Reels videos, but their number is strictly tied to the subscription price:

  • The Advanced plan ($49.99 per month) allows links in 4 posts and 4 Reels each month.

  • The Expert plan ($149 per month) allows links to be attached to 8 posts and 8 Reels.

  • The Max plan ($499 per month) provides a limit of 12 posts and 12 Reels with links.

Competitor analytics and content scheduler

In addition to links, the plans include tools for working with audiences and content:

  • Competitor comparison. The tool allows users to track and compare the metrics of up to 10 competing pages directly in the Instagram dashboard.

  • Unlimited audience history. Users can download audience statistics for any period, bypassing the standard 90-day limit.

  • Data on non-followers. Facebook has introduced statistics on people who view and interact with content but do not follow the page itself.

  • Bulk post uploading. The scheduler now includes suggestions for the best time to publish and the ability to upload a batch of Instagram posts at once.

In addition, paid Facebook accounts received a dedicated «Follow» button, while verified channels for communicating with customers became available in WhatsApp Business.

AI assistant for working with customers

The subscription includes an AI-powered chatbot called Meta business agent. The bot connects to WhatsApp Business and responds to incoming customer messages around the clock.

The page owner can train the assistant to suit the specifics of their business and manually take over the conversation at any time. The system also provides suggestions for communicating with customers and retaining leads.

The launch of business plans continues Meta's monetization of its platforms through subscriptions. According to analysts' estimates, around 35 million people already use the company's paid services, generating approximately $2 billion per year for the platform. The new plans are designed for companies that need direct traffic from the Instagram feed and automated customer communication.
