About the game:
Beyond The Wire is a large-scale multiplayer first-person shooter that immerses players in the mad and bloody Western Front of the Great War. Using both era-appropriate weaponry and a more tactical melee combat system, Beyond The Wire surpasses everything that could be seen in World War I games to date.
Large-scale multiplayer battlesIn battles involving up to 100 real fighters, players are divided into two teams of 50 people, each team consisting of squads of nine people and a commander directing the battle. Players need to exchange tactics with the rest of their squad members, overcoming enemy fortifications, large open maps and cramped trenches in order to survive the brutal conditions faced by soldiers on the front line of the Great War.
Gameplay focused on teamworkCoordinate your actions and communicate with your comrades-in-arms! Beyond The Wire emphasizes team interaction. Report enemy positions, share tactics on the move, warn teammates about incoming fire — succeed and survive together as a squad.
Choose your role and factionFight as soldiers from ten different factions representing both the Central Powers and the Entente. Each faction has its own equipment, vehicles and available maps, providing a wide selection of action options.
Your role can mean the difference between victory and death for your side and your squad. Choose the role of infantry officer or take a place in the unit as a rifleman, medic, grenadier, sniper, artilleryman or other classes with their own equipment.
Tank battlesHeavy metal appears on the battlefield. Vehicles from different eras are available for some factions, including the British MK. IV, Canadian armored autocars, the German Sturmpanzerwagen A7V and others.
Weapons inspired by historyWeapons in Beyond The Wire are created with an emphasis on historical accuracy, with minor changes made only to make gameplay more exciting and interesting. Although Beyond The Wire is not a simulator, we strive for maximum accuracy while ensuring engaging gameplay for a wide range of players.
Brutal hand-to-hand combatMelee combat adds another brutal option to the players' arsenal. The melee combat system in Beyond The Wire gives players a wide selection of weapons, including clubs, bayonets and much more, adding realism to the depiction of World War I combat. The new parrying system heightens the tension, giving fractions of a second to counterattack as a melee strike approaches.
