X Integrated Grok into Ads Manager: Can the Platform Replace Facebook
The X social network has launched a major Ads Manager update, integrating the Grok neural network directly into the advertising dashboard. Previously, analytics on the platform were lacking, and evaluating campaign performance required exporting data to external trackers. Now, the algorithms analyze statistics in real time and handle a portion of campaign configuration tasks. For buyers, this means cutting down on routine reporting work and accelerating test launches.
Key Features of the Beta Version
While access is currently limited, the developers have already unlocked three main functions for working with the AI:
-
Reports. No more messing around with spreadsheets. You can simply type into the chat: "Where did the CTR drop?", and the system will instantly deliver the processed statistics.
-
Optimization Tips. The system monitors creative metrics and suggests adjustments on its own. For example, it might recommend expanding targeting when the audience burns out or tweaking the bid to sustain the cost-per-lead.
-
Creative Generation. Ad texts and headlines can be built right inside the manager simply by describing the concept in a prompt.
Impact on Media Buying
For affiliate marketing teams, this presents an opportunity to save time and budget on third-party software. If the algorithms successfully pinpoint profitable approaches, spending on dry tests will drop.
However, it is still too early to hand over full budget control to the algorithms. The AI may artificially inflate the cost-per-click to chase volume, justifying it as a search for a better audience, so manual expense tracking remains essential.
Development Plans
In the long run, X plans to make the dashboard fully autonomous. A buyer will only need to provide an offer link, a budget, and a target audience description, while Grok handles the rest of the operational work.
Currently, only high-spend corporate accounts are receiving access to the feature. The tool will gradually become available to all users. The main question for the market is how the AI will handle gray offers. The policies on X are more lenient than on Meta, but moderation is still very present. If the developers manage to train Grok to truly optimize campaigns rather than just offer generic advice, X will become an excellent alternative to a turbulent Facebook.
