There's good news for those running betting traffic in the UK or managing prediction channels. Starting October 27, Oddschecker will make everything it previously charged around $40 per month for available free of charge: historical odds, line movements, expert predictions and AI-powered analysis.
Oddschecker — is a British odds comparison website. It has been operating for more than 25 years and shows which bookmaker offers the highest odds for a particular outcome.
What used to be paid
The service launched its OC+ subscription in 2024. You could use the website without it, but there was a monthly limit. Historical odds and line movements were not available at all without a subscription.
There were two subscription plans:
-
Essential removed the limit and unlocked historical odds and the Market Movers section, where users could track line movements;
-
Premium added expert predictions and AI-powered betting analysis.
What will become free
Oddschecker sent a notification to subscribers, and on October 23, industry publication SBC News picked up the story. Starting October 27, the following features will be available free of charge:
-
unlimited odds comparisons;
-
historical odds;
-
line movements;
-
AI-powered analysis;
-
expert predictions and analysis.
All these features will be available on both the website and the app.
Nothing is known yet about the subscription perks. Paid users had fewer ads and a discount on Racing TV. Oddschecker has not said whether these benefits will remain.
Who will benefit
-
Those running betting traffic in the UK. You can quickly check what odds British bookmakers offer for a particular match and how the lines have moved. This is useful when creating ad creatives and pre-landing pages for major events: you can include real figures in them.
-
Those running tipster channels and prediction websites. Historical odds and line movements provide data for analysis. For example, you can show that the odds on a favorite dropped from 3.2 to 2.4 within 24 hours.
Why Oddschecker discontinued its subscription
The company explained the decision only by saying that it wants to make the service more accessible. Oddschecker did not clarify how its strategy will change.
Most likely, the focus is on traffic. Oddschecker belongs to FairPlay Sports Media, which earns revenue through bookmaker affiliate programs. The more people visit the website for free analysis, the more clicks bookmakers receive. However, this is our assumption, and the company itself has not confirmed it.
