Logpass (login and password)

Logpass — is a combination of a login (email, phone number or username) and password used to access an account.

In traffic arbitrage and internet marketing, this term is most often used when buying or transferring ready-made accounts for work.

What it looks like in practice

When buying resources from account stores, the data is provided as a single line separated by a colon or semicolon:

login:password or email:password

Sometimes a recovery email and its password are added to the same line:

login:password:mail:mail_password

What login-password is used for

  • Manual login to services: when you need to access a purchased social media profile, distributor account or advertising platform through a browser.

  • Transferring access: the simplest way to pass account details for a personal account, affiliate network or tracker to a colleague or client.

  • Uploading to software: «login:password» combinations are uploaded into automated ad launch tools, checkers or bots so that the software can log in to the required services automatically.

What is the difference between logging in with login-password and cookies

  • Login with login-password: you manually enter the details into the login form. For the platform's security systems, this looks like a login from a new device — the service may request SMS verification, a code from email or immediately flag suspicious activity.

  • Login with cookies: a previously saved user session is loaded into the browser. The website «recognizes» the browser and immediately grants access without requiring a login and password, which reduces the risk of unexpected checks.

That is why «login:password» data alone is often not enough: for stable operation, a recovery email is usually linked to the account, or accounts are purchased together with cookies.
