Referral

A referral — is a person who registered with a service or affiliate program through an invitation from another user. The person who invited them is called a referrer.

In traffic arbitrage, referrals help you earn additional income from recommendations. You recommend an affiliate network or a useful tool to a colleague, give them your referral link, and the platform pays you for bringing in a new active customer.

How it works and what you get paid for

Referral program terms vary from one platform to another. Rewards can be paid in several forms:

  • Percentage of earnings. (Common in CPA networks). The network pays you an additional 2–5%, for example, of the amount earned by the webmaster you referred.

  • Percentage of spending. (In traffic arbitrage services). You receive a portion of the money your referral spends on purchasing proxies, accounts or paying for an antidetect browser.

  • Fixed payment. A one-time bonus for registration itself or the first purchase made through your link.

A referral — is the person you bring in. The money received by the person who invited them is called a referral reward.

Important to know

Many beginners have a concern: «If I register through someone else's link, this percentage will be deducted from my earnings and given to the person who invited me». This is a myth.

An affiliate network or service always pays the reward from its own profit. The referral's own earnings are not reduced in any way. On the contrary, registering through an affiliate link often gives beginners useful bonuses: an extended trial period, an initial discount or exclusive terms from the service.
