A reseller (from the English word resell — to sell again) — is a person or company that buys a ready-made product or service to resell it to the end customer with a markup. Simply put, an intermediary who buys cheaper in bulk and sells at a higher price individually.
In traffic arbitrage, this concept is most commonly found in two areas: purchasing account resources and working with affiliate networks.
Account resource resellers
Affiliate marketers constantly need profiles for advertising, proxies and virtual cards. Large teams that create (farm) accounts in bulk rarely sell them individually — it is more profitable for them to sell a large batch at once. This is where a reseller comes in. They buy in bulk and sell accounts to affiliate marketers through their own store with a markup.
Offer resellers (CPA networks)
Affiliate (CPA) networks also often act as resellers. These are platforms that do not have their own products. They approach a direct advertiser (for example, an online casino owner or a cream manufacturer), take their offer and add it to their catalog. An affiliate marketer drives traffic through such a network, and the network takes a percentage of the payout for connecting the webmaster with the advertiser.
Why work with them
Direct advertisers or large account producers often do not want to deal with beginners, small wholesale orders and lengthy support conversations. A reseller takes all these headaches off their hands. They provide a convenient service, technical support and the ability to buy just one account if you do not need more yet. In addition, sometimes a reseller is the only way to gain access to private offers that beginners cannot access directly.
Important to know
When working with a reseller, you always give up part of your earnings for the intermediary service. The payout rate for an offer in a reseller affiliate network will always be slightly lower than with a direct advertiser.
One more thing: scammers often pose as resellers in the traffic arbitrage resources market, so you should only buy tools from trusted stores with genuine reviews.
