Setup — is a ready-made set of tools, accounts, and resources assembled for launching ads on a specific traffic source.
Simply put: if a campaign setup is «what we show and to whom», then a setup is «what we use to technically launch it».
What an affiliate setup consists of
The exact set depends on the advertising source, but the basic structure is usually the same:

Antidetect browser. Special software that masks a computer’s digital fingerprint. It allows you to open dozens of profiles as if completely different people were going online from different devices.

Proxies (mobile or residential) — IP addresses from the required country that are matched to the GEO where the accounts were registered so that the advertising network does not become suspicious.

Accounts. Depending on the setup and traffic source, trusted (warmed-up) profiles are used as the main accounts, autoreg or farm accounts are used as resources for launching traffic, and public pages (fan pages) are used as the identities from which ads are delivered.

Technical part — a tracker for collecting statistics and distributing clicks, purchased domains, landing pages, and a moderation protection system (cloaking) if a difficult offer is being promoted.

Payment methods. Virtual cards for paying for ads, issued for the required GEO and accepted by the specific traffic source.
Why a working setup is needed
Advertising networks detect any inconsistencies. If you log into a German account from an Indian IP and link an Asian card, the system will block the launch within seconds.
A setup is built so that all elements logically complement each other. When the antidetect browser, proxies, accounts, and cards are aligned with each other, the campaign launches consistently, passes moderation, and generates leads without constantly running into bans.
Important. There is no such thing as a permanent setup. Algorithms are constantly changing: payment methods from one bank stop linking, while a working account setup suddenly starts getting banned. That is why affiliate marketers constantly test different combinations of resources and keep alternative options in reserve.
