Spend — is the amount spent on advertising. This may refer to the expenses of a specific campaign, advertising account or the entire campaign setup.
You may come across the expressions «daily spend», «total spend», «account with spend» or «build up spend».
Spend and Budget — What Is the Difference
Budget — is the amount set in the advertising campaign settings.
Spend — is how much money was actually spent on advertising.
For example, a campaign may have a daily budget of $100, but the platform will spend only $80 in one day. In this case, the spend for the day will be $80.
Account with Spend
An account with spend is an advertising account that has already had advertising expenses. If the seller specifies «$1000 spend», it means that about $1000 was previously spent through this account.
Such accounts are valued for their accumulated work history. They may have higher available limits and fewer restrictions than newly created advertising accounts. But spend alone does not guarantee this.
When purchasing, buyers also look at the age of the advertising account, restrictions and other parameters.
What Does «Build Up Spend» Mean
This is said when advertising expenses are gradually increased. For example, they start with a small budget and then increase it as the advertising account operates.
Spend and Limits
The platform may limit the maximum spending amount of an advertising account. Such limits are especially important when scaling: if the account reaches the limit, it will not be possible to increase the volume of traffic purchased through it.
