ZRD (Advertising Restriction)

ZRD (advertising activity ban) — is a Facebook restriction that prevents the account from launching and configuring ads. The profile itself usually remains accessible: the user can log in and use the social network.

ZRD affects more than just the personal advertising account. If the profile is linked to a Business Manager, FanPage, pixels and other advertising accounts, access to them may also be restricted.

Why ZRD Appears

The reasons may vary. Facebook may send an account for review after a sudden change of GEO or device, unusual activity, payment method issues, launching ads from a new profile or other actions that the system considers suspicious.

Sometimes it is impossible to determine the exact reason at all: the account may have worked normally before and then received ZRD without any obvious violation by the user.

What to Do in Case of ZRD

Usually, an account review can be requested after the restriction. Facebook may ask the user to verify their identity — for example, by uploading a document.

If the review is passed and the ban is removed, the account receives the status PZRD (passed the advertising activity ban). Such a profile can be used for advertising again.

At the same time, a removed ZRD does not mean that the account is now protected from new checks or restrictions.

ZRD in Traffic Arbitrage

When purchasing accounts, you may come across the labels «ZRD», «PZRD» and «under ZRD».

PZRD — is an account that has already passed the review and regained access to advertising.

Account under ZRD is sold with an active restriction. It usually costs less, and the buyer completes the review and attempts to remove the restriction themselves.
