Checker — is a program or online service that quickly checks lists of data and shows which entries are working and which are not. In marketing, for example, checkers are used to clean email lists: the service checks thousands of email addresses and filters out those that don't exist.
Checkers in traffic arbitrage
Affiliate marketers use checkers every day to avoid wasting time and money on non-working consumables. Manually checking dozens of accounts or proxies takes a long time, while a checker can do it in a minute.
Types of checkers
-
Account checker. Shows whether an account is active or has already been blocked. Usually, the account ID, meaning its identification number on the social network, is enough for verification. Such checkers are useful in two situations.
-
The first — after purchasing accounts, before the first login: for example, you buy 20 accounts, enter their IDs into a checker and immediately see which ones are working and which need to be sent back to the seller for replacement.
-
The second — during operation: accounts that are already running ads can be blocked at any moment. If you have dozens of accounts, opening each one individually takes time, while a checker can show you in a couple of minutes which ones have been banned and need replacing.
-
-
Proxy checker. Checks whether a proxy works, which country it's from, how fast it is and whether its IP address has been flagged. Some services display an IP «suspicion score»: the higher it is, the greater the chance that an advertising platform will consider it suspicious.
-
Browser checker. Shows how your browser appears to websites: its IP address, country, time zone, language and device information. It's used to check whether an antidetect browser and proxy are configured correctly and whether anything reveals that the accounts are controlled by the same person.
-
Domain checker. Checks whether a website address is blocked by an advertising platform or search engine. If a domain is banned, ads using it won't pass moderation.
-
Email checker. Checks whether an email mailbox exists and whether it can be accessed. Accounts are often sold together with the email addresses used to register them, and without access to those mailboxes, the accounts cannot be recovered later. A checker helps confirm immediately that the email accounts are working.
Where to get a checker
Many account stores provide their own free checker so buyers can verify their purchases immediately. Proxy checking is often built into antidetect browsers. There are also standalone websites and Telegram bots, both paid and free.
What a checker can't tell you
A checker shows the status at the time of verification. If an account is active now, that doesn't mean it will survive the first login or the launch of an advertising campaign. That's why it's better to check accounts immediately after purchase rather than a week later before launching ads: sellers usually have a limited replacement period.
Important: only enter the information required for verification into a checker. If an unfamiliar service asks for usernames, passwords or cookie files, it's better not to use it: you could end up handing your accounts over to someone else.
