Google has rolled out an update for Gemini in Workspace. Now, the neural network can not only generate text but also process comments directly within the document: gathering feedback, proposing edits, and even leaving its own recommendations.
What Has Changed
The key feature of the update is that Gemini now understands not just the document's main text, but also the comment threads attached to it.
For example, if a media buyer leaves a comment like "Rework the headline for LATAM," the copywriter previously had to manually locate the relevant block and rewrite it. Now, Gemini can handle this automatically while taking the context of the entire text into account.
If dozens of comments have accumulated under a pre-lander, the AI will compile all notes into a single list so you don't have to hunt for them across the thread.
Another useful update is integration with files stored in Google Drive. If you have a document containing your Tone of Voice, target audience pain points, or pre-approved offers, Gemini can draw from those materials right while editing the text.
In addition, you can ask the AI to independently review a pre-lander. It will scan the document, spot weak headlines, ineffective CTAs, or questionable phrasing, and leave targeted comments in the right places.
What This Means for Media Buyers
If you consistently run campaigns across different GEOs, you won't need to repeatedly explain to a copywriter how a pre-lander for a specific country should look. Simply attach a file with high-performing pre-landers or an internal style guide, and Gemini will reference them when making edits.
Another advantage is faster iteration for A/B testing. Instead of multiple feedback rounds, you can instantly prompt the AI to rewrite a headline, adjust a CTA, or prepare several pre-lander variations tailored to different audience segments.
When multiple team members collaborate on a single pre-lander, Gemini helps organize feedback from buyers, editors, and designers in one central place. This is much faster than manually tracking comments across the document and checking what has been resolved and what still needs work.
The update is gradually rolling out to Google Workspace corporate plan users and Gemini AI Pro subscribers.
