Aging

Aging — is a period during which an account is temporarily not used. Most often, it is done immediately after registration or purchasing an account, but sometimes after important changes, such as linking a card, changing the email or password or transferring the account to another anti-detect profile.

In the traffic arbitrage industry, it is believed that sudden activity after such actions may attract the attention of anti-fraud systems. Therefore, many people first allow the account to age and only then continue working.

Why Aging Is Needed

Aging is used for different reasons. Most often, it is needed to:

  • give the account time after registration or important changes;

  • reduce the likelihood of additional checks by the platform;

  • prepare the account for further farming or launching ads.

There is no exact aging period. It all depends on the platform, account type and approach to work.

Aging and Farming — Are Different Things

Aging — is a period when practically nothing is done with the account.

Farming — is the active preparation of an account. During farming, the profile is filled out, content is viewed, pages are followed, regular user actions are performed and an activity history is gradually built.

Therefore, after aging, an account is often sent for farming, although in some cases it is used immediately.

Important to Know

Aging by itself does not give an account more trust and does not protect it from being blocked.

The result is affected by several factors at once: autoreg quality, proxies, the browser’s digital fingerprint, actions after logging into the account and compliance with the platform’s own rules. Aging — is only one of the preparation stages that may reduce unnecessary risks but does not guarantee that the account will not receive restrictions.
