Retrieve — a term from traffic arbitrage slang used for an old account that was recovered through a linked email, phone number or other recovery methods. Retrieve also refers to the process of recovering access to such an account.
Why Retrieves Are Used
The main feature of such accounts — their age and existing history. Unlike a fresh autoreg, a retrieve may have been registered several months or years ago and may have posts, subscriptions, conversations and other activity.
At the same time, the account’s age alone does not guarantee high trust or the absence of bans. The platform considers the profile’s history, activity and other signals.
Retrieve, Autoreg and Farming — What Is the Difference
These account types differ primarily in their origin and history:

Retrieve: an old account that was recovered.

Autoreg: a new account registered automatically using software.

Farm account: an account that was warmed up for some time and had regular activity simulated on it before further use.
At the same time, one account may belong to several categories at once. For example, a retrieve may be sold as a farm account after additional warm-up.
Important: When working with retrieves, there is a risk of losing access again. The account may be recovered through previously linked data, while a sudden change of device, IP, GEO or usual behavior may trigger an additional review by the platform.
